Girl allegedly raped by ex-live-in partner

A 20-year-old girl accused her boyfriend of raping her in the basement of the Great India Palace (GIP) – touted to be Asia’s largest mall, on Saturday. The police said that the victim resides along the Badarpur border of the Capital and works as a clerk in an advocate’s office near Saket court.  She alleged that her boyfriend Yogesh, who works as a salesman in a shop at the GIP Mall, brought her on a date to the mall on Saturday evening and raped her in the basement. The police also said that she was in a live-relationship with the accused for two and a half years ago. The victim said that she had not met Yogesh since July last, but on Saturday he asked her to meet him at the GIP. He had then taken her to the washroom, located in the basement of the mall, where he raped her.  The police said that the victim has registered an FIR at the Saket Police Station. Police sources said that the duo has been caught in the CCTV camera installed in the basement of the mall. They were seen around the ladies’ toilet, heading towards the basement.
