The US-based diversified conglomerate General Electric on Friday said that it, along with Ensocare, has entered into a public private partnership with Maharashtra government to set up advanced diagnostic facilities in the state.
Under the public private partnership (PPP) model, a consortium that includes the Public Health Department of Maharashtra, Wipro GE Healthcare and Ensocare by Enso Group will set up the diagnostic facilities at 22 government district and women hospitals that are expected to be operational in a year, the company said in a statement.
Commenting on development, GE vice chairman John Rice said: 'Through progressive public private partnerships, like the one we are announcing today with the Government of Maharashtra, patients are the biggest winners as they'll have access to advanced and affordable healthcare that previously wasn't available to them.'
