Gangster wanted for murder of cop arrested

Sharpshooter and the top gangster of Neetu Dabodha gang has been arrested by Delhi police’s crime branch, police said on Sunday. He was wanted in at least 24 criminal cases including the murder of a Delhi police head constable in outer district last year.
The accused has been identified as Ram Niwas alias Mota alias Kala (46). Ravindra Yadav, additional commissioner of police (crime) said, ‘On the basis of a tip-off he was nabbed on Saturday in Rohini Sector 16. In 2012, on the intervening night of 25 and 26 November, head constable —
Ramkishan posted at Kanjhawala police station was shot dead by four gangsters who were identified as the members of Neetu Dobadha gang.
One of the gangsters identified as Paras alias Goldy was arrested and during interrogation he revealed the names of remaining associates — Neetu Dabodha, Ram Niwas and Alok. Earlier in March 2012, Neetu had managed to escape from the police custody of Gurgaon police from Dwarka. After which, Delhi police and Haryana police had announced reward money of several lakhs against the members of the gang.
After the arrest of Ram Niwas, he confessed his involvement in at least 24 cases.
He is a resident of Jhajjar, Haryana.
He entered the crime world in 1990 and came in contact with Surender Malik alias Neetu Dabodha in Bhondasi jail.
‘Investigation is on to trace the hideouts of Neetu and Alok,’ Yadav added.
