Gang war claims kingpin’s brother

Police said that around seven people barged into the house of Jaibhagwan Dujana, the younger brother of infamous gangster Anil Dujana, who is in jail, and shot at him frantically. It is believed that the attack was in retaliation to the murder of Devender Bhati, a member of Sundar Bhati gang on Thursday.

‘Rivalry between Dujana and Sunder Bhati gangs was suspected to be the cause of the murder,’ police said.

According to Brijesh Kumar, superintendent of police (rural), Greater Noida, Jaibhagwan (31) had gone to sleep in a room outside his house in Dujana area in Greater Noida on Thursday night. When he didn’t return till Friday morning, his father Chatur Singh went to check on him and found him lying in a pool of blood. The police found 13 used cartridges of 9 mm from the site. Police have registered an FIR against Sundar Bhati and the eight members of his gang after Devender’s family members named them as suspects.

‘The family members of the deceased have blamed Sundar Bhati and his gang members for the murders. We are investigating the matter and trying to get the details to ascertain their claims. We have formed four teams for raiding various areas to nab the absconding persons behind the murder,’ said Brijesh Kumar Singh.

The SP informed that one person has been arrested in the murder while others are still absconding.
Sundar Bhati has been absonding after four persons were killed in a shootout at his niece’s wedding in Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad in November 2011.

More than 5 persons from both the sides have been killed in the gang-war between both the gangs in the last one week.
