Gang that lured people with sex busted

Two members of a gang, which allegedly robbed people after luring them for sex, were arrested for their involvement in the murder of a rickshaw puller, police said on Tuesday.

Nanhu and Vikas, both 30, were arrested for the murder of Saket Singh (38) on 10 May 2012 with the motive of committing robbery.

Police action came on a complaint filed by Singh's brother Ajay Kumar who alleged that his brother was found murdered in Tahir Pur area. During interrogation, police came to know about the Kali Mirch gang operating in the area and arrested the duo. A senior police official said the duo disclosed that the motive behind the crime was to rob the deceased.

'They also stated that both of them, along with two other accomplices, namely Kali Mirch and Saniya formed a gang which used to expose themselves as Kinnars and allure people for sex,' V V Choudhary, Additional Commissioner of Police (North-East) said.
