Gang-rape video: One arrested

In a significant breakthrough, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested one of the accused in connection with the shocking “gang-rape” videos that surfaced on social networking sites and MMS services, a few weeks ago. The video went viral and fuelled mass protest across the nation, in which the accused persons were seen laughing, while committing the crime. Upset with the disturbing footage, the Supreme Court on February 27 expressed its shock and ordered a CBI probe into incidents. CBI spokesperson said: “We have arrested one person from Bhubaneswar and he was identified as Subrata Sau in connection with the gang-rape video case. He is a real estate agent and was picked up on Monday night by our officers.”
