Gambling racket busted, 7 held

New Delhi: Police claimed to have busted an online gambling racket in south Delhi’s R K Puram area with the arrest of seven persons including the kingpin of the gang. The accused have been identified as Ramesh Chaurasia (kingpin of the racket), Ten Singh, Jagdish Kumar, Pramod Kumar, Vikash Singh, Kailash and Rajender Kumar Sahu. Six CPUs, Rs 89,000 in cash and mobile phones were also recovered from the accused. “We had got <g data-gr-id="9">tip</g> off regarding an illegal gambling racket in the area of Bhikaji Cama Place following which a raid at the Basement, B-41, Ansal Chamber-II, Bhikaji Cama Place. The team found that a gambling racket was being operated in the garb of a company in the name of <g data-gr-id="12">Mahinder</g> Tour and Travel,” said DCP (South) Prem Nath.
