GAIL employees contribute one day’s salary for relief work in Uttarakhand

The employees of GAIL (India) Limited have voluntarily contributed one day’s salary for relief and rehabilitation work in disaster-hit Uttarakhand. The contribution to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund was handed over to union minister for petroleum and natural gas M Veerappa Moily by GAIL chairman and managing director B C Tripathi here on Thursday.
Apart from this, GAIL has contributed Rs 2 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as an immediate measure. The GAIL employees contributed Rs 92.25 lakhs from their salaries to aid relief and rehabilitation work in the state.
