Gadkari says Shinde has lost his mental balance

The day BJP launched its election campaign for Uttar Pradesh after the merger of Kalyan Singh’s Rashtriya Jan Kranti Party, the party leaders berated union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde for his ‘anti-RSS’ remark and said he has lost his mental balance.

‘It seems union home minister Shushilkumar Shinde has lost his mental balance and therefore spoke about an organisation which has no links with terror,’ BJP national president Nitin Gadkari said while addressing Atal Shanknad rally in the state capital on Monday.

The BJP will launch a nation-wide agitation against his unpleasant remark on 24 January, he said.
Shinde had recently said that the BJP and the RSS promoting terrorism. He had even said RSS has links with terror oraginisations.

Gadkari said earlier the former union minister P Chidambaram had brought shame to the nation by talking about Hindu terrorism, now his predecessor Sushil kumar Shinde has done the same. ‘The response of Shinde’s statement came from across the border where Pakistani terrorist Hafiz Saeed welcomed it. This shows Indian home minister’s statement was addressed not for peace loving Indians but for terror loving Pakistanis,’ he said.

The BJP national president expressed sorrow on increase in terrorist incidents and attempt by so-called secular parties to follow appeasement policy just to keep their Muslim vote bank intact.

Gadkari further rapped the Congress leaders for visiting the house of Batala House case accused and not going to the house of inspetcor Mohan Chand Sharma, who died in the encounter in New Delhi. ‘The Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress are conspiring to divide the Hindus,’ he said.

He also demanded an aplogy from Prime Minister Manhoman Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi for anti-Hindu statement of union minister. ‘Any humiliation to Hinduism would not be tolerated’, he said, Speaking on the occasion, emotional former UP chief minister Kalyan Singh said ‘I am proud that I  will be covered with a saffron flag when I die. It was my dream’, he said.

Amid the chants of Hindu slogans, Singh said the Samajwadi Party was following the Muslim appeasement policy. ‘Why are the Hindu girls not getting any benefit under the government’s Kanyaa Vidyadhan scheme,’ he questioned.
