Friend drugs, rapes and dumps woman

A 20-year-old BBA student of a prestigious college was abducted, drugged and physically assaulted before being dumped at an isolated place in south Delhi, allegedly by her male friend and his accomplice on Thursday night, the police said.
According to sources, the victim’s male friend after abducting and drugging her, drove her around the city for eight hours. The police has arrested the two accused, identified as Prashant, the male friend of the victim, and his accomplice, Milind.
While Prashant is an ex-student of the college where the victim is pursuing her management degree, Milind has done his hotel management course from a private institute, said the official.
According to a police officer, at around 12.30 am on Friday the AIIMS Trauma Centre where the victim was admitted informed the police. ‘We got a call from the hospital saying an injured girl who was abducted, drugged and assaulted by someone before being dumped in Vasant Vihar area has been brought there for treatment,’ said the police officer.
The girl, in her complaint told police that on Thursday afternoon she had left her house in Vasant Kunj to watch a film with her friends, including the accused, at Priya in Vasant Vihar area. After the film, the victim’s friend left with her male friend in her car while Prashant offered to drop her home in his car.
‘The victim in her complaint has alleged that Prashant drugged her by giving her cold drink laced with sedatives to drink. Later, he physically assaulted her and drove her in his car in the city for over eight hours. Late in the evening, Prashant called Milind and they shifted her in the latter’s car and finally dumped her in Vasant Vihar area,’ added the officer.
