Fresh tender for Tilaiya power project soon: Jharkhand CM

In a major decision, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday said that all the formalities for starting much-awaited Tilaiya ultra mega power project have been finalised. “The government has decided to issue fresh tender for the 3,960 MW power plant at Hazaribagh,” Das said here after meeting with Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal.

Earlier, the contract for the project was won by Anil Ambani-led Reliance Power through global tending, which was later on terminated by Reliance in April this year over the issue of inordinate delays in land acquisition.  The CM also said that a decision has been taken to acquire land for shifting the RSP College.
