French ‘First Lady’ goes into depression!

The French First Lady Valerie Trierweiler is in hospital recovering from ‘depression’ three days after Closer magazine reported that President François Hollande was having an affair with a 41-year-old actress.
The Elysée Palace said that Ms Trierweiler, 49, had suffered a ‘severe case of the blues’ last Friday after Closer published an article about the alleged affair with Julie Gayet. She was taken to a Paris hospital and could be released on Monday.
What began as a severe embarrassment for President Hollande is turning into a double, personal and political, crisis. And in an unexpected twist to the scandal of the alleged love affair, it emerged on Sunday that the flat where Hollande and Gayet are reported to have met could have links to organised crime.
French media said the flat was owned by the ex-wife of Michel Ferracci, a Corsican who last year was given an 18-month suspended sentence for his role in illegal gambling allegedly linked to the mafia. The flat was reportedly made available so Gayet could meet with Hollande.
