Four constables suspended for dereliction of duty

Four Delhi Police constables were suspended for dereliction of duty on charges of not reaching on time at the venue of a programme in East Delhi’s Patparganj area where deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was the chief guest. According to the police, the four constables, including a woman, were assigned to look after the security arrangements of the community hall in the Patparganj area where Sisodia was to arrive at 11 am on Sunday. Confirming the news, Deputy Commissioner of Police B S Gurjar said, “It is not the first time that police officers have been suspended for dereliction of duty. These constables were suspended for not doing their duty.” Police said that the constables were posted at Pandav Nagar police station. The concerned ACP initiated a probe into the matter and suspended them on Monday.
