For speedy redressal of plaints, NDMC launches 1533 helpline

In order to facilitate the residents of New Delhi area for redressal of their complaints with regard to the services being rendered by New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) a toll-free number — 1533 — has been launched by the Council.
This number has started functioning from March 12 and as many as 1,081 complaints had been received till Wednesday evening, out of which most of the complaints have been resolved by the officers concerned of the Council.
Through this helpline, residents will be able to reach out to the Council for their complaints in connection with water, electricity, health, sanitation, sewerage, horticulture, water logging, broken roads, street light maintenance, unauthorised construction, encroachment and other concerned complaints. This toll-free number would be in operation 24x7 for handling customer’s queries with immediate effect.
The NDMC had recently commissioned a mobile application ‘NDMC311’ for the residents to avail all civic services at one stop. The application is getting good response and over 500 complaints of residents of NDMC areas have been sorted out and 5,000 commuters have been connected with the high- tech application.
