Foggy day in Delhi

The capital witnessed a foggy morning on Tuesday but the sun came out as the day progressed. The maximum temperature dipped two notches from normal to settle at 29.3 deg C while the minimum was recorded at 15.6 deg C, which is normal for this time of the year. The humidity level hovered between 39 and 93 per cent. Shallow fog engulfed the city and the airport in the morning forcing airport authorities to implement low visibility procedures as a precautionary measure, between 7 am and noon. ‘It was a Category I fog due to which we have to implement the LVP,’ an airport official said, adding that it did not affect flight operations. Met officials said the city may on Wednesday witness shallow fog in the morning but it would give way to a clear day. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain around 29 and 15 deg C.
