Flavours bounty

If there is one thing that Indians are truly passionate about, it is food - especially the delectable range of local delights. This year, Delhi Pavilion at Welcom Hotel Sheraton, welcomes all to celebrate its 1st birthday with an array of local food where they have put together a menu that’s not only easy on the palate but also easy on the pocket. That’s not all; those with a yen  for  traditional  favorites have an opportunity to meet renowned custodian of India’s food heritage and Persian Scholar - Salma Hussain with her rendition of the Delhi Sultanate cuisine’- Meeras-E-Dilli from August 20-28.

The Shahi Dastarkhwan of Shahjahanbad, many of whose dishes have been forgotten, will make a reappearance with one of its signature recipes as part of the culmination of the celebrations on Aug 31.

Speaking about the occasion, Benita Sharma, General  Manager, Welcome Hotel Sheraton said, “We pride ourselves on our cuisine offerings. Delhi Pavilion is a reflection of a gourmet connoisseur’s heaven. As we complete one year we look back with fond memories and march forward with  more zeal to keep things interesting. Our chefs ensure that all our food is fresh from farm to fork and not just looks good but is also bursting with flavours.”

With a strong focus on local flavours and the cultural heritage of Indian cuisine, the Delhi Pavilion’s first anniversary celebrations promise to be a platform for guests to indulge, and for visitors to sample the wide variety of authentic local delights.
