Five new swine flu cases reported

Five new cases of swine flu infection have been recorded in the city on Tuesday, according to a health official. This year, a total of 14 cases have been reported till now.
According to the health department, the samples of two men and three women were confirmed at the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday.
The number of swine flu cases in the capital has now reached 49 since last year.
“A 31-year-old woman from Mehruali, a 50-year-old man from Preet Vihar, another 42-year-old man from Uttam Nagar, a 38-year-old woman from Mansaram Park and 44 year old woman from Sagarpur have tested positive for swine flu. They are admitted in private hospitals, except the woman from Mehrauli and the woman from Mansaram Park, who have been admitted in Ram Monohar Lohia Hospital,” said Charan Singh, an officer at the Delhi health department.
The only death from the disease till now has been that of a 51-year-old woman on December 24, 2014.
