Five juveniles held for murdering gang leader

A day after the brutal murder of an 18-year-old man on a crowded street in Madangir locality of south-east Delhi, five juveniles have been arrested by Delhi police in the matter. All the accused were known to the victim.
On Tuesday afternoon, at around 3.30 pm, Sachin Singh (18) was stabbed by five persons when he went to buy household stuff on his motorbike from the main market of Madangir in Ambedkar Nagar area. He was stopped midway by the accused, who were later identified with the help of CCTV footage, and attacked with knives.
During investigation, the police officials established the identity of all the accused and arrested them from their residence. Sources said: 'Singh was a part of a local gang and the accused also belonged to the same gang. Being the leader, Singh bullied the juveniles for three years. To take revenge, they decided to eliminate him.' Singh was a resident of Madangir area and lived with his parents and six sisters. His father is a businessman dealing in construction material and trucks. After the attack, Singh lost control of the bike and fell on the ground. Even after the fall he was attacked mercilessly. Locals witnessed the incident but did not intervene. Sachin was accompanied by a friend who was pillion riding. He managed to flee from the spot.
