In a major breakthrough against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s principal secretary Rajender Kumar, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has recovered 5 audio clips from his email box.
Sources in CBI said that in the audio clips Kumar seems to be passing on the instructions to his associates about how to influence and manipulate the conditions of the contracts to favour a private company.
Earlier, during the raid, Kumar was unwilling to share his email password with the agency officials. Kumar is likely to be called in for questioning again very soon. The 5 audio clips are from 2012-2013.
CBI is in the process of comparing the obtained voice samples of Kumar with the voice in the audio files. While a final report is awaited, CBI sources revealed that prima facie the voice in the emails seems to match that of Rajender
Kumar, and they believe that this link will play a vital role in nailing Rajender Kumar’s culpability.
CBI sources say that while it is surprising that Kumar was sending instructions via audio files, this seems to have been his chosen modus operandi to award government contracts to his chosen private company.
