Five arrested for assaulting man in Ggn

Five men who were caught on CCTV footage brutally beating a man, have been arrested by the Gurgaon Police. More than the incident, the behaviour of Gurgaon Police came out to be shocking. The incident where a man was brutally beaten by five unidentified men has happened on May 8 but what came as a surprise is that the police did not register a complaint even after six days.

The incident took place at a local restaurant at around 1.30 am near Gurgaon-Kapasera border where a group of five men were having drinks and food when a man came and sat beside them at another table.
The CCTV footage showed that the man was just talking on the phone when he realised that the group of men were too loud for him to have a conversation in peace. The group of men, who couldn’t take the polite request, started brutally assaulting the man. The CCTV footage recorded the man being beaten up with jugs and plates. In response to the allegations, SHO Vikash Kaushik of Udyog Vihar police station said: “Since it was a non-cognisable offence where it was a simple case of hurt, without the use of weapons or threat to life, it was not mandatory for us to file the FIR.”
