Fire breaks out in GIP mall

Fire broke out in a restaurant, in a crowded mall, on Friday night, sparking off panic but no one was hurt. Staff of the Great India Place mall managed to extinguish the fire, which started on the third floor, in a restaurant near the AC duct, due to a short circuit. The fire tenders soon reached the mall as well. The dense smoke caused panic for some time. Fire Station Officer S Yadav said, ‘We got a fire call at 8.40 pm and three fire tenders were rushed there.’
