FIR against builder for cheating Ram Niwas Goel’s personal secy

According to Chatar Singh, the personal secretary of Ram Niwas Goel, Speaker of Delhi’s Legislative Assembly, last year he had booked a shop in a proposed building site at Vishwakarma Colony, Lal Kuan and paid a sum of Rs 17,25,000 as advance amount of the total Rs 20,00,000. But he has not constructed the building so far and later it was learnt that Madan Lal Gera, the builder, has sold the plot to someone else.

On May 15, a complaint was given to the SHO of Pul Prahladpur but the FIR was not registered. Later on May 27, Ram Niwas Goel wrote a letter to Alok Verma, Delhi Police chief after which the FIR was lodged under Section 420 (cheating) of IPC and further investigation is underway.
