FIR against BJP leader for land fraud

The Meerut police have booked a senior BJP leader and zila panchayat president, Maninder Pal Singh, and his accountant for allegedly selling properties on forged documents.
Pal, who was a close associate of former Delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma and is considered a close aide of UP BJP chief Laxmikant Bajpai, along with accountant Diwan Singh, were booked after district court’s order and a total of 21 cases of land fraud have been slapped against them. Meanwhile, the local police have assured to arrest the duo if charges are proved.
According to the complaint, Pal has sold several plots by showing false ownership. The victims have claimed that the BJP leader first prepares forged documents of someone’s land and sells the same by misleading the buyers. The wrongdoing was unearthed when two of the victims namely Amar Singh and Dheer Singh, both native of the district, tried to sell the property purchased from the accused.
The victims then approached the police but after being turned away by the cops who refused to file a complaint, they approached the local court. ‘Pal has sold us land on forged documents and is refusing to return our money. We want penal action against him and refund of the entire price of the land,’ the complainants have alleged in the complaint.
