Finance Min seeks public comments for Budget 2016-17

The Finance Ministry has decided to invite suggestions from the public for 2016-17 Budget in its bid to make the exercise more broad-based.

The suggestions can be posted on http://mygov.nic.in portal. “The Ministry of Finance has decided to invite suggestions for the Budget from the general public... in order to infuse more transparency into the Budget-making exercise and to have people as partners in the process of Budget-making,” it said in a statement. The preparations for the next Budget have already started. In <g data-gr-id="10">run-up</g> to the budget, the government holds discussions with various stakeholders like trade unions, economists and social sector activists.
