Fiberglass shop owner thrashed by miscreants in Haldia

A <g data-gr-id="17">fiberglass</g> shop owner was badly beaten up by miscreants while returning home from the shop on Wednesday night. <g data-gr-id="10">Mantu</g> Gopal Adhikari claimed he managed to escape a bullet injury when the accused fired at him. 

Police are yet to ascertain if the firing part was true. Police said that Adhikari, the businessman, who runs a <g data-gr-id="19">fiberglass</g> shop at Durga <g data-gr-id="11">Chawk</g> area of Durgapur, was returning home after closing his shop when the miscreants blocked his way.

 According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the accused came on a motorcycle. They started beating up the victim. 

When he managed to free himself from their clutches, the miscreants chased him and injured him badly.
