Feeling fresh and good, says Saina

Returning to action after more than two months, London Olympics bronze medallist shuttler Saina Nehwal on Wednesday said she is feeling fresh and good after five weeks of hard training.
The world number five Indian, who skipped the China Masters, Japan Open and the Senior National Championship last month, will be back in competition at the Denmark Super Series beginning on October 16.
‘Feeling good, been training hard for the last five weeks,’ said Saina, who is leaving for Denmark on Saturday.
‘I am feeling fresh and I am feeling good. So, hopefully, these two tournaments should be good for me,’ she added. The 22-year-old will be starting as the top-seed in Yonex French Open Superseries commencing on Octorber 23 following the absence of three top-ranked Chinese players.
SAINA PLANS TO OPEN BADMINTON ACADEMY
Saina Nehwal said on Wednesday she plans to set up a badminton academy as there is a lot of interest in the garden city.
The world No 4 shuttler said she is in discussion with real estate firm Commune India and sports company Target Games Facilities for such a venture.
‘With their support, I hope to do something well for badminton in Bangalore. I can see the interest [in Bangalore],’ she told reporters at an event.
