Roger Federer saw off Mikhail Youzhny in a one-sided Wimbledon quarterfinal lasting barely 90 minutes on Wednesday.
The Swiss third seed hit 25 winners on his way to a 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 victory to set up a semi-final with top seed Novak Djokovic or Germany's Florian Mayer, the 31 seed.
Youzhny, the 26th seed, had no answer for Federer's aggressive game, but leaves the tournament having eclipsed his previous best of a fourth round finish.
He was the last Russian remaining in the men's or women's draw after Maria Kirilenko narrowly lost out to third seed Agnieszka Radwanska 5-7, 6-4, 5-7 in the quarter-finals.
Youzhny's best scalp on his path to the quarter-finals was eighth seed Janko Tipsarevic in the third round.
