The Imperial partners with WWF-India
The Imperial, New Delhi partnered with WWF-India to celebrate Earth Hour across the hotel on March 30, and carry forward the pledge to give up on water, plastic and energy wastage while creating a buzz about the importance of greener practices to save our planet.
Besides minimising electricity usage in alignment with the #SwitchOff initiative to conserve energy, the hotel also followed 'Dine in Dark' concept, where they switched off lights in Nostalgia, their classic European restaurant from 8:30-9:30 pm.
To spread awareness about the importance of saving depleting resources, and importance of individual participation to save the planet Imperial undertook activities like switching off facade lights, switching off swimming pool ambient lights, to name a few. A floral installation art was also set up highlighting the theme for being champions for nature, alongwith 'Earth Hour' posters for maximum outreach.
Expressing his views, Vijay Wanchoo Senior Executive VP and GM, The Imperial New Delhi said, "We take pride in joining hands with WWF- India again this year to participate in one of the largest global campaigns that supports the conservation of the planet."
