Taking music beyond boundaries
The students of Rythme School of Music mesmerised audience during the show 'Music Beyond Boundaries', organised by Le Rythme recently. At the event, students of the school presented musical fusion and different forms of classical dances which drew rich applause from the audience.
The spectacular performances of the students within the age group of 5 years to 15 years were indeed remarkable. More than 120 students participated in the programme, out of which over 30 students presented group performance to show harmony among different instruments like acoustic guitar, synthesisers, drums and percussions, to name a few.
Apart from the performances by the budding artists, the stage was taken over by Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee, Pandit Rajendra Prasanna - who played jugalbandi of Indian Flute and western Flute with Jeanne Miramon. Besides, Pandit Prasanna also presented a performance of Shehnai with the violin of Dr Santosh Nahar. And, Ustad Akram Khan accompanied in Tabla.
Speaking on the occasion, renowned singer Rini Mukherjee, Founder of Le Rythme said: "It is our privilege to train the students across the different parts of the society. As a part of the skill development programme, nineteen eminent Gurus are engaged to train the students of Rythme School of Music. I am sure that with all of our initiatives, in due course, the students from underprivileged sections of the society will also be turned into a real asset of the country and will perform in the international platforms."
She further informed that the students will also participate in NABC 2020 at Las Vegas next year.
