Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt receives 'Sarvottam Samman'

Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers presented "Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers Sarvottam Samman" and "Pt. V. G. Jog Award" to the legendary classical musician Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt at Kalamandir. The evening started off with the inaugural orchestration session by the disciples of Pt. V. G Jog named Swar Sadhana group which marked the Guru Pranam. It was followed by the felicitation ceremony of Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt for his significant contribution to the world of music. This was followed by a mesmerizing performance by the legendary artist and a Violin recital of Pt. Pallav Bandopadhyay accompanied by Pt. Samar Saha.
'Sarvottam Samman', a lifetime achievement award was instituted by Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers to honour living legends who have excelled in their spheres of life and have risen to great heights – inspiring younger generations to rise and shine, for their single-minded devotion and dedication to their craft and monumental contribution in taking it forward. The previous recipients have been the doyen of Indian Classical Dance Pandit Birju Maharaj, veteran Ghazal Maestro Hariharan Ji, Violin Virtuoso Dr L. Subhramaniam, Tabla Maestro Kumar Bose, legendary Footballer P. K Banerjee and veteran Sarod Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan.

Jewellers is honoured to extend the Sarvottam Samman to the Mohan Veena Maestro Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, a living legend. Shyam Sundar Co. Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, a Grammy-winning Hindustani classical music instrumentalist who plays the Mohan Veena while accepting the honour "Pt. V. G. Jog Award" given by Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers thanked the people of Kolkata for their love and affection at his long and eventful evening.
