Oudh 1590 hosts 6th Biryani festival

The Sixth edition of The Great Awadhi Biryani Festival makes a comeback at Oudh 1590 with a variety of rich and aromatic flavours of steaming hot biryanis. The exotic range of biryanis were revealed by Ace Designer, Sarbari Dutta and Eminent Danseuse Alokananda Roy along with Shiladitya and Debaditya Chaudhury, Director, Oudh 1590.

If there is such a thing as food for the Gods, it is undoubtedly Biryani. No dish in the world can match its grandeur, taste, subtlety and refinement. The magic of Biryani lies in the way rice is transformed into something ambrosial – absorbing the rich flavours of meat and spice, scented with dizzying aroma of saffron, the white grains taking on a gem like mien.

"We at Oudh 1590, always try to serve the authentic Biryanis that has a strong connection with imperial Awadh. Each Biryani that we serve during the festival resonates the aromatic charm from the royal era that marries the secret spices from Rakhabdars. This year we are offering twelve types of Biryanis that will win over hearts of our patrons. We are confident that like every year, the gourmands will pour in at Oudh outlets to savour the awesomeness of this Royal Awadhi Cuisine", said Shiladitya Chaudhury and Debaditya Chaudhury, Partners, Oudh 1590.

The thought behind The Great Awadhi Biryani Festival is to showcase the flavours of the lost Awadhi delicacies. With scrumptious and mouth-watering items like Keema Biryani, Gosht Yakhni Pulao, Gosht Bhuna Khichri, Awadhi Nargisi Biryani, Murgh Yakhni Pulao, Shikari Bater Pardah Biryani, Shikari Hansa Handi Biryani, Gomti Mahi Sugandhi Biryani, Mahi Kofta Biryani, Yakhni Jheenga Pulao, Multani Kanthal Biryani and Shahi Subz Kofta Biryani, the sixth edition of The Great Awadhi Biryani Festival promises to surprise and entice its patrons like never before. The biryanis are priced between Rs 275/- to Rs 425/- plus taxes.

The Great Awadhi Biryani Festival, which starts from May 23 (today), will be held across all the four outlets of Oudh 1590 at Deshapriya Park, Southern Avenue, Salt Lake and Jessore Road from 12 pm – 3.30 pm for lunch and 6.30 pm – 10.30 pm for dinner.
