KIIT students win Smart India Hackathon 2019
Two teams of KIIT students have won Smart India Hackathon 2019 – the national level digital competition organised by MHRD, AICTE and i4c. The team 'Gradiants' comprising of Subham Kumar Das (Team leader), Saurav Pattanaik, Samarendrea Chandan Bindu Dash, Siddartha Mohapatra, Sweta Pati and Sailesh Dwivedy, won the Hackathon by creating an innovative model of monitoring the movement of people in cities. They won the Hackathon held at CV Raman Engineering College, Bhubaneswar, bagging Rs 75,000 cash award with certificates to all team members.
Another KIIT Team 'Phoenix Tech', with Shubham Kumar Sahu (Team Leader), Raj Babu Das, Ekta Prakash, Smriti Ojha, Subhashri Das and Srijani Basu, won the competition whichtook place at Satyabhama Deemed to be University, Chennai.
Their project was on complaint registration portal for labourers. The team won the cash price worth Rs. 1,00,000 along with the certificates to all team members. All the participants of the competition were from KIIT School of Computer Engineering.
Expressing his happiness on the ocassion, Dr Achyuta Samanta congratulated all the team members, and also wished them luck for all their future endeavours in Innovation and entrepreneurship.
