The second edition of ‘Khilona: India Toys and Games Fair’, conceptualised and organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), is scheduled from today to August 20, 2023, at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida Expressway. A B2B show organised with the support of the Ministry of Textiles, the Ministry of MSME and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, ‘Khilona’ aims at bringing together a comprehensive representation of the Indian toys and games sector.

Dileep Baid, Chairman of EPCH, informed, “ ‘Khilona’ resonates with Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s vision of ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ in toys and games, as well as India realising its full potential in manufacturing for this segment to become a global sourcing hub in this segment.”

He added that ‘Khilona’ is to congregate a full spectrum of India’s toys and games manufacturing industry, with a cross-section of around 150+ businesses, ranging from medium and small exporters, artisan entrepreneurs and designers to India’s leading manufacturer exporters. The 12-display segment will cover 24 product categories, which will feature accessories for children’s rooms, artificial intelligence and robotics, back-to-school categories and much more.

“ ‘Khilona’ reflects bigger ambitions for the future of India’s toys and games industry and is expected to become instrumental in increasing India’s role in the global supply chains by enabling toy manufacturers, predominantly MSMEs and traditional toy makers, with the necessary market linkages to enhance their traction in overseas markets and India’s share in global toys and games trade,” shared Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of IEML. He added that the range of toys and games manufactured in India reflects cultural diversity as they are timeless, ageless and interactive.
