Genesis Global School announces collaboration with LAMDA

Genesis believes that the Performing Arts – Music, Speech, Dance and Drama are integral to the growth of every student

Genesis believes that the Performing Arts- Music, Speech, Dance and Drama are integral to the growth of every student.

Keeping in mind the overall growth of the students, the school commissioned the 'GGS Centre for Performing Arts' (GGS CPA) in April 2019. To provide them with the best, they have now joined hands with LAMDA, as a private centre for teacher training and offering LAMDA qualifications.

The school recently organised an event to introduce GGS-CPA and GGS – LAMDA collaboration. The event was attended by top professionals from Arts like Ranjana Gauhar, Padmashri Awardee- well known Odissi Dancer; M K Raina, One of India's best-known theatre actors and directors; Professor Dr Rajeev Lochan, Former Director, National Gallery of Modern Art; Yuriko Lochan, an Eminent Japanese Artist; Abha Adams Renowned Educationist; and others.

On the occasion, Christopher Hanvey, Director Operations, Genesis Global School said, "GGS gives every scholar individual attention, modern facilities and exposure to the best global practices of mentoring and care. We mentor our students and provide them with platforms of engagement that push boundaries and help them realise their true potential. With our association with LAMDA, we are offering an alternate career path to our scholars, as we believe that self-expression and communication are one of the sought-after skills in the 21st century."

Speaking from London, Peter Holliday the acting Principal of LAMDA said "It takes qualifications in the Performing Arts to children around the world to help them deliver their own self confidence and acquire life skills that will stand them in good stead with their future careers."

Talking about their association with Genesis, Holliday said "I am delighted to have seen the partnership with Genesis Global School develop over recent months. I think it's a real milestone that we have now completed some of our teacher training with GGS staff so that we can begin to deliver LAMDA examinations to GGS students."

Linda Macrow, Chief Examiner LAMDA says "GGS CPA decision to provide the opportunity to their students to study essential life skills is insightful and demonstrates a true understanding of the educational needs of young people today."
