This year, Bollywood has made its way into the 'best city in the world' – New York – with IIFA award ceremony going live in India on July 16. The sponsors of the celebrations, Wizcraft, a leading Communication and Entertainment company, recently held a press conference at the PVR's Director Cut at Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj to provide us all with a little sneak peak of the jamboree to come. The press conference was graced by the music sensation AR Rahman and Bollywood eye candies Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput. The stage welcomed Sabbas Joseph, the Co-Director of Wizcraft, to inaugurate the conference.
Commencing from July 13, the upcoming International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) celebrations will host a range of activities in an attempt to bridge the gap between Bollywood and Hollywood and also to flourish trade and air ties between India and the States. IIFA, the child of the new millennium, will not just be about cinema, but also about business, economy, and the growth of the two best nations in the world. The inaugural day will be held at the New York Stock Exchange in the morning, to be followed by a global press conference later in the evening. This conference, according to Sabbas Joseph, will be one of the largest media collaborations that the world has ever seen, welcoming over 500 media platforms from nations worldwide.
On the evening of July 13, The Times Square will be home for fashion designers, jewellery designers, DJs and singers. India's talent will be out for the world, with India's top online shopping website as the apparel sponsor for IIFA releasing its first music logo.
IIFA has also taken this time to tribute an entire evening to 25 years of AR Rahman. And we will see the USA dancing to the beats of Jai Ho, followed by a performance by Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh. July 15 in the USA will hold the most awaited award ceremony, marking the end of the event.
