King of Fruits returns at 29th Mango Festival

Delhi's Mango lovers can look forward to another fascinating display of Mangoes, as Delhi Tourism will be hosting its annual flagship Mango Festival at Dilli Haat, Janakpuri from June 30 – July 2, 11 am to 9 pm.
The festival will be inaugurated by Minister for Tourism, Govt of Delhi, Rajendra Pal Gautam on June 30 at 6 pm.
Since its first edition, the Mango Festival has evolved a lot; from the orchards of Saharanpur, where the first fest was organised, the annual event was shifted to Talkatora Indoor Stadium in 1991, and then, in 2010, to Dilli Haat, Pitampura, following now, at Dilli Haat, Janakpuri. If you wish to have a look at a Mango, which is as small as a grape or as big as a papaya, the Mango Festival is the place to be at.
Mango growers from across the country would gather at the festival to showcase traditionally popular as well as rare varieties of mangoes such as Langra, Chausa, Rataul, Hussainara, Ramkela, Kesar, Fazri, Mallika, Nagin, Sensation Amrapali and many more. Besides providing an opportunity for visitors to enrich their taste buds with the enticing flavour of mangoes, the festival also offers a package deal of fun and frolic for both children and other family members.
