At the event, Manoj and Manisha, and Agnibho Bandyopadhyay will sing Tagore's songs. Mother and daughter Chadrabali Rudra Dutta and Deepaboli will also present their songs at the event. The programme will start at 6 pm.
The interesting part of the programme is that it will present Rabindrasangeet exponents from different generations. There will be instrumentalists who will play tunes of Tagore's songs.
The event is being organised to attract young singers and musicians, who have developed a love for Tagore's songs and music. The popularity of Tagore songs is ever increasing. In many documentaries and feature films made by young directors and music directors, songs of Tagore have been used with modern instruments like drums, saxophone among others.
