An evening with Tagore
Melody and harmony are like the lines and colors in a picture, it fills the infinite among souls. One such evening filled with music was organised recently at the Vivekananda hall, in Ramakrishna Mission Centre of Arts in the loving memory of renowned Professor Dr Debabrata Sen. The theme of the evening was based on Spring (Basanta), where Dr Anshu Sen, Neurologist, performed the melodious songs of Rabindranath Tagore along with narrations by Raja Sen, eminent Film Director. Together they mesmerised the audience with their performance.
The event witnessed songs like, Eki labonye pirno prano; Akash amay bhorlo aloy; Bedona ki bhashay re; Tumi kichhu diye jao; Kakhon dile poraye; Nibiro oma timiro hote; Fagun haoay; Aha aji e badante; Tui re basanta samiran; Mamo joubanonikunje; Se ki bhabe gopon robe; Je kebol paliye beray; Puspo fute kon kunjobone, to name a few.
The entire hall was lost in the soulful poetries of Tagore as well as his songs. It was a wonderful experience for all music lovers.
