A tryst with Art
'A Tryst with Art', a painting exhibition has been organised for art lovers in Delhi. In this exhibition, the cynosure of all eyes is Kiran Soni Gupta (IAS), and the center of attraction is her 120 paintings – which have been displayed at the Lalit Kala Academy, until January 24. This exhibition has been organised on the theme of environment, sustainability and rich resources of nature which are available to the society. There are some famous paintings like watercolors, acrylic on canvas, oil on canvas, oil on paper, pen sketch and syno prints paintings. Famous semi-classical singer Rini Mukharjee also came to exhibit and observe the beautiful paintings at the venue.
Artist Kiran Soni Gupta is an accomplished officer and besides being an artist, also a prolific writer and keen photographer. Currently serving as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, she is also a national award winner from National Productivity Council and NABARD.
Making her impact on international level, the artist has already done 45 solo and 85 group exhibitions across the globe. The artist has participated in exhibition in countries like USA, France, Canada, Iran, Shri lanka, Chicago and many more. The artist also attached a feather to her cap, being the only Indian to participate in Le Louvre Museum in Paris, France.
About her artworks, Kiran Gupta rightly mentions that all her paintings are inspired by nature while travelling in India and abroad.
Further, she also quotes that, all her paintings acknowledge the sustainability and the environment. Some of the most attractive paintings of the artist including 'wintry morning', 'cosmos', 'golden garden', 'sad boy' and 'Buddha head', and 'toddler Ganesha' sculpture, have been exhibited here.
