Fat cat takes up swimming to lose weight

A lazy cat in the US with a bulging waistline has managed to drop a pound after adopting an unusual fitness routine - swimming.
While cats have been known to skim the surface before, this feline in the Loudon County takes the tongue-in-cheek label to a new level when it hits the pool in a live jacket.
The overweight housecat does not like the outdoors or doing things that most cats enjoy, such as running around or playing with toys.
Her owner, Dani Lawhorne, found that swimming to be the only kind of exercise she likes, ‘New York Daily News’ reported.
Lawhorne introduced the squeamish pet to the pool after all other attempts to get the lazy kitty active failed.
