Farmhouse killing: Cops searching for another guard

Days after arresting four men, including a former councillor, in connection with the murder of two persons during a party at an ex-councillor’s farmhouse, police are looking for one more person who was present at the party and is suspected to be involved in the case.

A police team has been set up which is searching for one Manoj whose name cropped up during the interrogation of prime accused Joginder, a senior police official said.

It is suspected that Manoj, a private security guard, was involved in the incident and police said it is necessary to interrogate him to verify the exact sequence of events that day. On Friday, two persons, identified as Ashok and Fauji, both private security guards, were allegedly shot dead by one Joginder, another security guard, during a party at former councillor Kishan Pehelwan’s farmhouse in southwest Delhi’s Najafgarh area. While Joginder was arrested within hours, Pehelwan and two others were apprehended the next day on the charge of destroying evidence. Manoj is believed to be the one who had taken Ashok and Fauji to hospital where the former was declared brought dead and the latter succumbed after a few hours.
