Farmer alleges land grab by real estate firm in Noida

In an alleged case of land grab, a farmer in Noida has accused a builder of capturing his land, after he refused permission for construction of road over his plot. The farmer alleges that this was done to shoot up their land prices.
Jai Prakash, a farmer from Kaundly Bangar village, has lodged an FIR with Kasna police station against Sanjay Nagar, CMD of Oasis Realtech Pvt Ltd. The farmer has alleged land grab and destruction of his wheat crop due to the road laid through it.
‘Police has registered FIR under Section 447, 427 and 506 of IPC, but has not yet taken any action to get the possession of the land back to me, ‘said Prakash.
The farmer also mentioned that Sanjay Nagar and his associates were mounting pressure on him to let them construct a road through his land so that they could sell their plots for better price. ‘When I did not bow down to their tactics, Sanjay Nagar forcefully grabbed the land, destroyed the crop and laid the road through it’, said the farmer.
Prakash also added the he owned ancestral agriculture land and Noida Authority has allotted its nearby land to Logic Group and some other builders after acquiring it from farmers.
‘The maximum land holding of my family members has already been acquired. This is the only land left with the family which has not been acquired. I am not sure whether Oasis Realtech Pvt Ltd has been allotted some land there by Noida Authority or it is illegally selling government land to private firms,’ the farmer added.
