In a tragic incident, a family lost their two sons within two years in a similar incident of road rage in the national capital. In the recent incident, the younger son who was a truck driver was mowed down by another truck driver in east Delhi’s Vivek Vihar area on Wednesday after having a heated altercation over an accident. The accused has been arrested.
The incident took place at around 2 pm near Shivam Enclave, when the truck driven by Ajit Singh was hit by another from behind. The driver of the other truck has been identified as Mohammad Mursaleen (24). He was over-speeding and lost his control and rammed into Singh’s truck.Â
Eye-witnesses told police that both trucks stopped at the signal and got down from their vehicles. The duo had a heated argument and Mursaleen attacked Singh leaving injuries on his neck. Mursaleen went at the wheels of his truck and mowed him down. Locals who were witnessing the incident managed to nab the accused and called the police.
