Social networking giant Facebook has launched a portal for parents to help them keep their children safe online.
“To help parents get the most out of their experience and help their child navigate their experience, Facebook has launched the Parent’s Portal in collaboration with parents, teens and safety experts around the world,” Facebook said in a statement.
The US-based company had recently updated its Safety Center and Bullying Prevention Hub as well.
Parent’s Portal includes guides for parents about how Facebook works, tips for talking with kids about staying safe online and resources from experts around the world.
It is available in over 55 languages, including 11 in India. It is mobile friendly and includes step-by-step videos.
“Keeping our community safe is core to everything we do.
People will only come to Facebook if it’s a safe place to connect and share with the people they care,” Facebook Public Policy Director (India, South and Central Asia) Ankhi Das said.
