Extra marital affair: 42-yr-old stabs woman to death, kills self

A 42-year-old man stabbed a woman to death and later killed himself in Bishrakh area of Greater Noida on Thursday.
Police recovered their bodies from their the house. The bodies have been sent for postmortem. Police suspect it to be a case of extra-marital affair.
The deceased have been identified as Alam (42), Murshida(40), native of Bihar, and were living at rented accommodation in Bisrakh area.
Police said the incident came in to light when Murshida’s children reached home after school and found the door was closed inside. The children asked their neighbour for help who broke open the door and found them in pool of blood.
Police said that Alam was married to another woman while Murshida’s husband works in Delhi and come home often in a weak. Alam and Murshida were allegedly having an affair. Alam had threatened to kill Murshida as she was ignoring him for the past few days. Â
On Thursday morning, Alam reached her house with a knife and stabbed her several times after an arguement. He later killed himself. Â
Neighbours and her children informed police that Alam has been meeting her since past four years.
Her husband got to know about their affair. He asked Murshida to stay away from Alam, said a police officer.
