Extortion racket functioning from Tihar busted

A former member of the Neetu Dabodia and Neeraj Bawana gangs, Naveen Bali, has been charged with the running of an extortion racket and threatening businessmen from Tihar Jail. He has been in judicial custody for the past two years and was earlier detained in the Faridabad jail. With the arrest of Naveen alias Bali, a close associate of the dreaded criminal Neeraj Bawania and three of his associates, the Delhi Police on Thursday, claimed to have busted an extortion racket, which was being run from Tihar jail.
According to police, Naveen, who was lodged in Tihar, was running this racket with the help of Vishal, Nizam (a sharp-shooter of the Bawania gang) and Santosh Bahadur, who is a resident of Nepal.
