Extortion racket busted, four held

With the arrest of four persons, including two women, from East Delhi’s Jagatpuri area, Delhi Police have busted a gang which allegedly honey-trapped men and extorted money from them, police said on Thursday. “The accused, identified as Amarjeet Singh (52), Rahul Sharma (23) and the two women aged between 30-35 years, were operating an extortion gang. They used one of the two women to honey-trap men and then extort money from them,” DCP (East) B S Gurjar said. Their activities came to notice when a person filed a complaint in Jagatpuri police station that he was honey-trapped and later extorted by a gang, police said.
