Expressway accidents put focus on design

It has been less than a month that the Yamuna Expressway was thrown open for public vehicles, but it is coming to be known for road accidents. And, this fact has started a blame game between the Noida officials and the developers. The Yamuna Expressway Authority has alleged that the design of the roiad is faulty, which has led to so many accidents.

The authority asked the concessionaire Jaypee Group to engage the Central Road Research Institute or another institute of expertise in road research for a thorough study of the road, including its design.
