Exploring harmony through cinema

Building upon the theme of world peace and cooperation, Peace and Power is the first in a series of films by filmmaker Manu Mallikarjun on the theme of global harmony. This  one-hour -long documentary will be premiered in the Capital on 3 August in Hotel Ashok, Chanakyapuri.

It revolves around the interplay between international politics and peace. The film builds a narrative around the perspectives of people from all walks of life including politicians, diplomats and economists, from the US, Hungary, India, Israel, Colombia, and Italy .

It is the fruit of labour of over six years of travel across four continents researching and filming for the project.
The august gathering for this special screening include thought leaders and luminaries in the fields of international relations, political science, social development as well as senior thought leaders from Institute of Conflict Management, Foreign Policy Research Centre, Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies, among others.

Manu Mallikarjun, son of the late Dr. Mallikarjun, former defence minister of state has worked over the years in the areas of social development and international relations.  With a Master's degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University, he wishes to release a series of documentary films that will explore the theme of global harmony. While this film focuses on politics and its meaning for peace, the ones to follow will focus on economics, religion, and history. Mark your calenders for it!
