‘Expect 10,000 cases of Ebola every fortnight’

Recent Ebola estimates released by WHO on Tuesday have revealed that there could be 10,000 new infections from the deadly disease per week within two months. This is indeed the most threatening Ebola warning released till date. With the current death rate at 70 per cent, WHO director general Margaret Chan has confirmed the present outbreak as the most acute health emergency in modern times. She has further said that the world is ill prepared to respond to any severe public health emergency. Ebola till date has caused 4,033 deaths.
